Ms V was collected by staff from prison and admitted into Guthrie House in November 2015.

She had a history of an alcohol use disorder and soon lapsed into alcohol consumption within three weeks of her admission. Her Guthrie House case worker worked to get Ms V into detox and a longer‑term residential rehabilitation program in Sydney. Ms V departed Guthrie House into a longer‑term rehabilitation program to assist her to develop the skills to remain sober.
